Meet the Coordinators
Hi I'm Juliette, and this is my 3rd year as a coordinator for GMG! I currently study 3D modeling and environmental art at the University of Texas at Dallas. Basically, I love making furniture, props, and everything that goes in the background. Because it's summer, lately I've been building an automated farm and bakery in Minecraft. Other than that, I love to play cozy building games like Timberborn, Satisfactory, and Autonauts. On my free time, I enjoy taking naps, cooking, and playing with my four cats.
Hi, I'm Neha! I recently graduated with my bachelor’s from USC’s Interactive Media and Games division, where I specialized in video game production. My journey in game dev began in 2017 as a camper at GMG – I loved it so much I had to come back as a Fellow in 2023, and now again in 2025!
Some of my favorite titles are Hollow Knight, Cult of the Lamb, Spiritfarer, and Tears of the Kingdom. Outside of games, I’m also a plant enthusiast, novice fishkeeper, aspiring DJ, and avid painter!

Hello! I'm Rin Powers, and I'm 19 years old. I'm from Durham, North Carolina, and am currently going into my second year at Northeastern University studying Computer Science and Game Design. I love to draw, play guitar, and go outside and catch critters. Some of my favorite video games are Phasmophobia, Life is Strange, and, of course, Minecraft. This is my first year being a counselor for GMG, but I've previously been a camper for four years. I'm so excited to meet all of the campers and help create amazing video games!
Hi, I'm Kaylene! I'm studying Game Art at the USC Games program. I love drawing, 3D modeling, and writing stories! As a kid, I loved games such as Minecraft, Undertale, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. I drew comics of my favorite characters meeting each other and wrote tales of their epic adventures. I still do these things, but now I also make the art and 3D models for games — both my own and for others! As of one year studying games at USC, I have worked on 8 games in total: three board games, three short video games, and two longer video games. I’m very excited to be able to share what I learned working in the Unity and Unreal engine during this camp!

Noelle Garrick is a game developer, artist, and recent graduate of Duke University, where she studied Computer Science and Visual Art. Her work sits at the intersection of storytelling and technology, spanning VR experiences, educational games, and interactive art installations. Coming from a low-income background, Noelle knows firsthand how powerful it is to have someone believe in you early on.
She’s passionate about mentorship, especially for students who don’t always see themselves represented in the games they play or the people who make them. She’s excited to help campers build confidence, learn new skills, and bring their ideas to life.

Hi everyone! My name is Amaris Jenkins. I am a rising senior at High Point University, majoring in Game Design. My favorite aspect to work on when it comes to games is the narrative production and the fact that it is embedded into every aspect whether people realize it or not. The very first game I ever made was with a couple of friends in 7th grade and that’s where my passion for creating my games truly came out. Two of my favorite genres of games to play are Psychological Horrors and Storytellers.

Hi, I'm Rangoli! I'm a Technical Game Designer with a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I have been fascinated with both science and art my entire life. Along with the technical courses for my engineering degree, I enjoyed taking electives like psychology and animation. Sticking to my affinity for both art and logic I discovered my passion for creating games and immersive experiences, particularly ones that are meant for learning and thinking.
While I have been able to try many roles, I found my niche as a Technical Game Designer, being able to bridge the gap between design and development. Being able to understand why a design is created with a user in mind, and understanding how a game might be programmed, I enjoy finding solutions for both design and development.
What I aspire to do now is use both art and technology to create immersive and meaningful experiences. I love sharing my knowledge, learning from others and trying new things!

Hi, I’m a Character Animation artist with a background in technical, keyframe, and game animation. I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of animation pipelines, blending creativity with problem-solving to bring characters and stories to life.
Teaching is something I genuinely love. I’m passionate about helping students not only develop strong technical skills but also find their unique artistic voice. Whether we’re focusing on the fundamentals or diving into advanced workflows, my goal is to make the learning process engaging, practical, and inspiring.
My name is Famous Clark. I am a current PhD student within the University at Buffalo’s Media Study department. My specific field of study is an interweaving of mythology and folklore, queer and feminist scholarship, and interactivity and portrayal within games. My research and projects to date aim to develop queer allegories of being, utilizing tropes from fantastical narratives in folklore and fairy tales. These allegories, in turn, are injected into game mediums, facilitating the embodiment, interactivity, and portrayal of non-heteronormative realities.
Amelia is a rising senior at the University of Southern California studying game design. She hopes to go on to study creative writing in grad school and be a narrative designer in the video games industry. After 'borrowing' her brothers' Nintendo DS as a kid, she became very passionate about video games and wanted to learn to make them. She loves indie games, metroidvanias, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, and any game with a great story. She also loves teaching— this is her second summer working with Girls Make Games, and she can't wait to introduce more students to the fun and creativity of game development!
Hi! I'm Jenna Perkin! Though you can't respond to this embedded text, I'll still ask you how you're doing, and hope you're doing well. Hello! My name is Hajar Zaiz. I'm a software engineer at Salesforce and the co-founder of a healthcare focused gaming studio. My interest in game programming started during my study abroad at UNCC where I wanted to try something new. I ended up making 3 games that semester and really loving it. I'm still looking for the recipe for the perfect horror to fun ratio.
In my free time, you can find me bouldering, creating, and spending time with friends and family. Currently playing Bloodborne.
